One Africa Music Festival at Wembley, London

For the first time ever, London shut down The SSE Arena in Wembley, London with the sold out, party of the year, One Africa Music Fest 2017! Jay's Z streaming service TIDAL and MTV Base Africa were just some of the international sponsors of this exclusive concert.

The event was hosted by the proclaimed African King of R&B Banky W who brought laughter, swag and whole lot of of rhythm. Some of biggest stars in the afro beats music scene also took centre stage to perform to thousands of people on 13th May 2017.

This celebration was not only a festival but an awakening of how african artists are making major movements in the music industry. With the likes of Davido and Tiwa Savage already collaborating with the heavy hitters of music in the US, its safe to say that they are paving the way for afro beats and afro pop music to becoming a global genre.

Kenyan entertainment royalty Victoria Kimani, Nigeria's duo sensation P Square,  smooth talker  Flavour, Congolese music legend Awilo Longomba and Ghanaian hip hop superstar Sarkodie were just some of the few headlining acts to perform their classics and new music from their new albums.

Despite the classic man himself, Jidenna was also scheduled to entertain 10,000 worth of fans and press from all over the world. Plans changed unfortunately but as they say in the business, the show must go on!
